I help smart people get their messages across.
For more than 25 years, I’ve worked directly with leaders and subject matter experts to turn their insights into strategic content that builds trust and drives real business results.
I specialize in long-form B2B content and content ecosystems that help mid-market companies navigate growth or change. My work is built for today’s decision-makers — clear, engaging, visually digestible, and aligned with the buyer’s journey.
Whether you’re launching a flagship asset that needs to perform or modernizing high-value content you already have, I’ll help you deliver messages that sound like you and make people want to take the next step.
Q: What’s different about working with you?
It helps you invest wisely.
10,000+ hours of experience (and then some)
In his book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell famously theorized that “10,000 hours of practice” is what it takes to produce an expert. He’s gotten some backlash but I can tell you this — I am a better writer now than I was 10,000 hours of writing ago.
One of the most important things I’ve learned in all those hours of writing after journalism school is that my clients benefit when I do my homework. They’re glad to be able to approve the first-draft copy with no or minor revisions.
Content that’s written from your reader’s perspective.
Every day of my career, I’ve been aware that no one has to read a single word I write. My job as a strategic content writer is to hook and keep your reader’s attention, get to the point, be easy to understand without dumbing down details, add value, and leave a great impression.
You get to be in the room without being in the room.
The vast majority of a B2B prospect’s buying decision is made without your team being present. Gartner reports that about 95% of the decision-making happens without you being in the room, and about 45% of that time is spent researching. Also, a buying group is three times more likely to be confident in its final decision when the information provided by the brand is perceived as helpful.
My primary goal is to ensure your content is a worthy proxy for in-person engagement.
Your high-level content aligns with your brand, goals, and existing content hub.
Choosing the right words and putting them in the best order is only half of the assignment, maybe less. With long-form content, you’re telling a story — sometimes a complex story with lots of moving parts.
Your new content also needs to align with the other stories you’re telling, and that’s more about strategy than writing.
