Strategic B2B content writer

I help smart business leaders engage buyers.

If you’re like most of my clients, you need someone who writes well, brings senior-level thinking, and understands that your reputation is everything — someone who uses AI for process but never for copy.

That’s what I do.

For more than 25 years, I’ve worked directly with business leaders and subject matter experts to turn their expertise into strategic B2B content that gets attention, builds trust, and converts decision-makers into clients. My specialties are flagships, thought leadership, content campaigns, and modernized assets optimized for AI discoverability — long-form content that builds your business.

Q: What’s different about working with you?

10,000+ hours of experience (and then some)

In his book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell famously theorized that “10,000 hours of practice” is what it takes to produce an expert. He’s gotten some backlash but I can tell you this — I am a better writer now than I was 10,000 hours of writing ago.

One of the most important things I’ve learned in all those hours of writing after journalism school is that my clients benefit when I do my homework. They’re glad to be able to approve the first-draft copy with no or minor revisions.

Content that’s written from your reader’s perspective.

Every day of my career, I’ve been aware that no one has to read a single word I write. My job as a strategic content writer is to hook and keep your reader’s attention, get to the point, be easy to understand without dumbing down details, add value, and leave a great impression.

You get to be in the room without being in the room.

Gartner reports that about 95% of the decision-making happens without you being in the room, and about 45% of that time is spent researching. Now, with AI search (zero-click), they may not visit your site at all until they’re close to making a buying decision — so your content had better be impressive to stay on the short list. What’s more, buying groups are three times more likely to be confident in their final decision when the information you provide is perceived as helpful.

Your content must be a worthy proxy when you can’t be in the room. It must speak directly to your buyers’ needs and funnel stage, and be structured so AI can find it and cite it in the first place.

You get high-level content that aligns with your brand, goals, and existing content hub.

Choosing the right words and putting them in the best order is only half of the assignment, maybe less. With long-form content, you’re telling a story — sometimes a complex story with lots of moving parts.

Your new content also needs to align with the other stories you’re telling, and that’s more about strategy than writing.

You don’t have to manage or train me.

I come to the table with senior-level thinking, so you don’t have to explain industry basics, worry about tracking my progress, or wonder whether I understand the stakes. I get that your reputation is on the line with every piece that goes out, and my accountability and writing reflect that.

Q: Do you outsource your projects to other writers or AI?

Never.

Because you’re hiring me for a reason. And, in my practice, GenAI is a fabulous research and review tool, but it’s not a writer.

  • I want to help you do one thing.

Capture and maintain your prospects’ interest so they engage with you and convert. This involves more than stringing together key messages and proof points. It’s craft. It’s storytelling. It’s reader-centric and data-driven. And it’s a little bit poetry, too.

Because the truth is, no one has to read your B2B content. They have to want to read it.

    That’s my north star.

What you can expect.

Hundreds of successful B2B projects that align with sales enablement and the buyer’s journey.

A journalism background and hundreds of SME interviews uncover the story faster and with more compelling nuance and color.

My writing will sound like you, align with your goals, and check the right boxes.

Committed to leveraging your team’s institutional knowledge to produce content that resonates more deeply with distinct buying groups.

Your content speaks directly to each of your audience’s pain points and value drivers — strategically placed details drive results.

Time-tested content-creation workflow respects your time by requiring minimal oversight and fewer revision rounds.

Content is structured so AI can surface it and cite it without sacrificing its appeal to human readers.

Strong background in interconnected content ecosystems that drive continued engagement.

Polished, strategic output that reflects well on you and your team — I meet deadlines and first drafts typically need few revisions.
